The 77th Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2026, will be a historic display of India’s strategic autonomy. The Ministry of Defence has mandated that all equipment featured—from tanks to aircraft—must be “Made in India.”

The 2026 parade will feature the first public display of the Tejas Mk1A squadron and the indigenously developed Prachand Light Combat Helicopters. Beyond the military might, the “Jan Jatiya” tableaux will showcase the cultural diversity and tribal heritage of India, aligning with the “Viksit Bharat” vision of an inclusive and developed nation by 2047.
