The Indian higher education ecosystem is expanding its online and distance learning offerings, yet digital maturity varies widely across institutions, with research highlighting that advanced LMS adoption and online readiness are still uneven.  

The Indian Institute of Commerce & Trade (IICT) has announced the launch of its official mobile application for Android and iPhone, giving students a modern way to access their learning experience from anywhere.

Designed for students pursuing Online MBA, Executive MBA, PG Diploma and Diploma programmes, the IICT App brings academic resources, programme information, notifications and student services into a single mobile platform.

Instead of treating mobile access as an afterthought, IICT has built a dedicated native experience focused on convenience, speed and accessibility. Students can stay connected to their academic journey without depending solely on desktop access.

India’s distance education sector continues to grow as more working professionals choose flexible learning, and the UGC has recognised more than 100 institutions to offer ODL and online programmes, reflecting the country’s shift toward digital higher education.
